Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage accurate financial records of all company transactions, including income, expenditures, and intercompany activities. You will maintain our QuickBooks Online system, ensuring proper documentation and classification of all transactions. Additionally, you will track project expenses, prepare financial reports, and support the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and optimizing financial processes.Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping & Accounting:
- Record all company financial transactions in QuickBooks Online, including income, expenditures, and intercompany transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure that all transactions are supported by the relevant documentation (invoices, receipts, etc.).
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, Cash, and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
- Project Accounting & Reporting:
- Track and monitor project expenses to ensure they are within budget.
- Prepare financial reports for projects, including profit and loss statements, expense reports, and other customized reports as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial accuracy and accountability for each project.
- Assist the CFO in creating and analyzing financial reports to improve overall company performance.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain organized and easily accessible records of all financial transactions and reports.
- Collaboration:
- Communicate regularly with the CFO to provide updates on financial status, upcoming reporting deadlines, and any discrepancies.
- Support the CFO in optimizing financial workflows and improving the overall efficiency of the accounting processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Experience with accounting systems is required, familiarity with QuickBooks Online is preferable.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and project accounting is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
